We Are Young是美國(guó)獨(dú)立流行樂團(tuán)Fun.于2011年9月發(fā)行的一支單曲，單曲收錄在樂隊(duì)第二張錄音室專輯《Some Nights》中。此曲曾被Glee翻唱，翻唱版本首發(fā)時(shí)登上了Billboard第12位，并在itunes單曲下載榜上排行第一。原版在Billboard Hot 100榜冠軍位置停留六周，在2012 Billboard Hot 100 Year-End中排列第三，并獲第55屆(2013)格萊美年度歌曲獎(jiǎng)(Song Of The Year)，并獲得年度制作，最佳流行樂隊(duì)/組合提名。
簡(jiǎn)單的說(shuō)，《We Are Young》就是一首充滿正能量和積極意義的勵(lì)志歌曲。也難怪它常常被許多美劇拿來(lái)做配樂歌曲，它高昂的情調(diào)和戲劇化的張力，也讓這首歌曲既有豐富的聽覺震撼力，也有許多獨(dú)立樂團(tuán)最為缺乏的精氣神。聽這首歌曲，就像當(dāng)年聽Queen的《We Will Rock You》或者《We Are the Champions》。
《We Are Young》這首單曲由樂隊(duì)主唱Nate Ruess和他們《Some Nights》的制作人Jeff Bhasker共同創(chuàng)作完成。而這首作品的女聲演繹，則來(lái)自于另一位出生于堪薩斯的黑人女歌手Janelle Monae。
歌曲的創(chuàng)作可以追溯到2011年2月。某日，Nate Ruess和Jeff Bhasker相約于紐約東城Bowery酒店的酒吧，商談音樂事宜。而為了這次會(huì)面，Nate Ruess已經(jīng)是第三次相約，前兩次則都被Jeff Bhasker放了鴿子。而這一次，Jeff Bhasker在和Beyonce完成工作后，終于匆匆趕來(lái)和Nate Ruess相見，但只提供了十分鐘的會(huì)談時(shí)間。不過，Nate Ruess關(guān)于將流行和嘻哈融合的創(chuàng)作想法，卻很快引起了他的注意。之后，Nate Ruess將Jeff Bhasker請(qǐng)到了自己的客房，向他親自演示了這種想法的成果，即流行、嘻哈和電子融合的效果，而主旋律部分，甚至還有一些Beyonce作品的線條。第二天，Jeff Bhasker就把Nate Ruess請(qǐng)到了他紐約的工作室。并最終完成了這首歌曲的母帶。
