《還鄉(xiāng)》中游.苔莎悲慘命運(yùn)分析

摘要
偉大的英國作家拖馬斯哈代塑造了1系列生動(dòng)而有影響力的女性角色, 這些角色代表了19世紀(jì)的婦女形象。這些角色中, 關(guān)于《還鄉(xiāng)》女主角游苔莎斐伊的評論也有很多。本文以愛敦荒原為背景, 對游苔莎的悲慘命運(yùn)作出分析。在維多利亞時(shí)代, 女性的社會(huì)、經(jīng)濟(jì)地位成為游苔莎實(shí)現(xiàn)自我的主要障礙之1。游苔莎這位具有反叛性格，有抱負(fù)且熱情似火的女性與維多利亞時(shí)代的社會(huì)傳統(tǒng)格格不入, 她忽視維多利亞時(shí)代的傳統(tǒng)觀念想依靠克林實(shí)現(xiàn)夢想 , 這成為游苔莎悲慘命運(yùn)的另1個(gè)主要原因 。游苔莎的悲劇是婦女的悲劇，是時(shí)代的悲劇，如果婦女的社會(huì)地位沒有改變，游苔莎的悲慘命運(yùn)的不可避免的。文章最后對游苔莎的命運(yùn)作出可能假設(shè): 避免游苔莎悲慘命運(yùn)的唯1方法就是適應(yīng)荒原生活 。

Abstract
The great British writer , Thomas Hardy created a series of vivid and influential female characters which well represented the woman images in the nineteenth century . Eustacia , the heroine of The Return of the Native , has received various criticisms . This thesis takes the Egdon Heath as background and makes an analysis of Estacia＇s tragic fate . Woman＇s social and economical status in the Victorian Age becomes one main obstacle of Eustacia＇s tragedy . Eustacia , a rebellious , ambitious and passionate girl , is incompatible with the Victorian society . She wants to depend on Clym to realize her dream and ignores the patriarchal tradition of the age become the other obstacle of her tragic fate .Eustacia＇s tragedy is a tragedy of woman , a tragedy of the Age ; without the change of woman＇s status , Eustacia＇s tragic fate is unavoidable , the only fate facing to her is death . In the end , the thesis makes a hypothesis to Eustacia＇s fate , the only method to avoid her tragic fate is to make a concession with the life on Egdon Heath .
